No, and it is a large part of what we do. Single items are quoted as deliveries rather than as a house move with most of it missing, which is the whole reason this site is organised the way it is.

What we will ask for is the measurements and the access at both ends. On a one-item job there is no second load to absorb a surprise.

Yes, and it is one of the most common jobs we get. Marketplace pickups, auction collections and things bought from somebody who will not deliver.

We need the seller’s address, a contact number for them, and enough notice to confirm the collection directly — because on those jobs the person we are meeting has no stake in the process and frequently will not have moved the item to the door.

That is a job in its own right and it is treated as one. The room is the easy part — the communal hall, the shared staircase and the fire door nobody is allowed to prop are what actually make it work or not.

We protect the shared route before we carry anything through it, and we photograph the room empty and send you the pictures. If there is a deposit involved, that evidence is worth having.
