Who we are

Mitcham Removals is the data controller for information you send through this website. Our contact address for data protection matters is hello@mitchamremovals.co.uk.

What we collect

When you ask for a price we collect your name, phone number, email address, the collection and delivery addresses, your preferred date if you give one, and whatever you write in the notes. If you email us, we hold the contents of that email.

The form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA. Google receives technical information about the request in order to tell a person from an automated submission, subject to Google’s own privacy policy and terms.

Sellers and other people at the collection

On a marketplace pickup or a collection from somebody else, you will usually give us that person’s address and a contact number. We hold those details for the job only, we contact them only about the collection, and we delete them with the rest of the file.

Please make sure the person you are sending us to knows we are coming and knows you have given us their number.

Housemates and shared buildings

On a room move we will frequently be in a building where other people live. We do not discuss your move, your reasons for it or your destination with anybody else in the property, and we do not pass on your contact details to a landlord or agent unless you have asked us to.

Photographs

Where we photograph a room as we leave it, those pictures are taken for you and sent to you. They are held with the job file, deleted with it, never published and never used in marketing.

Why we hold it

To work out a price and to do the job. That is our legitimate interest in answering an enquiry you started, and where you book, performance of a contract with you.

We do not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to, and we do not sell or pass them to lead-generation companies or listings sites.

Who else sees it

Our own staff and crew, and our hosting and email providers, who process it on our behalf under contract.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted once they are plainly stale. Completed jobs are kept for as long as we need them for accounting, insurance and claims purposes, and then deleted.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@mitchamremovals.co.uk. If you are not satisfied with how we handled a request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. reCAPTCHA sets cookies necessary for its anti-abuse function when you use the form.

Changes

If we change this policy the updated version appears on this page.
